There, that should take care of the cobwebs in here. So hi there, LJ. Apparently I needed something like a year to make my previous entry's statement of "I'm going to update my LJ" and actually do it. So yes, it has been quite a while but not a huge ammount has changed. I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad about that.
I am still teaching here and things are getting even better. We've picked up more students and i'm having fun.
I am still working here and things are getting worse. Our hours have been cut severely.(from closing at Midnight to 9pm) So that means less mo-nay to pay the bills. Anyone have a suggestion as to where someone like me(and you know what I mean when I say "someone like me") can get a job that pays mon-ays and can keep it?
Also, despite my best efforts, I am still single and am watching various friends around me get married. Well...kinda single. I'll touch on that in a later entry.
So today has been another day off. Oh yes, in addition to having less hours to work, I also have less days. So i've spent most of the day doing this and that. Isn't Youtube great? Does anyone else get on Youtube with the express purpose of viewing one video about one specific thing and end up finding several other things they like? And then 2 hours later you find yourself watching the entirety of Watership Down because some nice person has put it all up on the internet and it makes you all nostalgic. *sniff sniff*
Oh, before I finish; this post is definately dedicated to Amy; my beloved DQ, and I wanna give a shout out to my long time partnet in crime, Dee for sticking with her LJ and being a persistant dear in wanting to contact me. Actually, I hate the term "shout out" so let me just say I am recognizing Dee's amazingnes profusely and publicly.
Now, off to watch some Dr. Horrible and do more WoW achievements with my window open seeing as how it's such a lovely night.

I just finished watching Serenity and all the special features on it (twice) and I gotta say that its times like these that make me love being a complete geek. Joss Whedon is one of the most awesome writers of our day and Serenity is a testament to that.

How could you not love a guy who says things like "So I was reading alot about the western frontier and that made me think of the Millenium Falcon...as many things do."

Er sorry, I just watched TXH 1138 and got my disdain for corporate-world reaffirmed. If you haven't seen it, go check it out. Its an actual George Lucas movie before he went crazy. Oh oh, go rent it from Blockbuster Videooooooo! and while you're there spend lots of money, buy 200 bucks in gift cards and sign up for the online rental program because they dont have enough of your money yet.

By the way, Hi. I know I haven't written in a long time but I'm doing it now biatches so there you go. Nutcracker in Amelia Island is this weekend. W00t. More on other stuff later.

Is anyone watching CNN this morning? This is quite a scene going on in the Gaza settlements. Thousands of these people are sitting inside a synagogue and the Israeli soldiers are being forced to pull them out one by one. This whole affair will be difficult for Israel to whether, I think.

I officially don't want to go into work today since it was my first time on a long shift yesterday and I'll be doing it again today. So yesterday I played various forms of rescue ranger, riding my trusty golden stick-shift steed across town. It started around 5 p.m. I called Gwen to get Joshua's flight number and a strange voice picked up the phone. It was Gwen's manager at Victoria's Secret. I thought I had gotten her in trouble for calling her at work untill the lady explained that Gwen was having a palpatation and they had called the paramedics. I think she was more than a little shocked when I assured her the paramedics were not necessary and that Gwen would be fine in a few mins. Either way, they wanted her to go home and she wasn't in much shape to drive. I was out and about anyway, so I went over to Town Center, picked her up, and drove her home. We made broccoli au-gratin.
Later I planned to spend the evening with Joshua. This was because the ladies were having a sex toy party and apparently the company that provides these parties has a no-men rule; which is uber-stupid and slightly sexist IMHO, but whatever. Josh was coming in to town from Chicago so I rushed to the airport to pick him up. On the way out of the airport I got a call from Rini who was all in a dither for reasons I won't repeat here because, if you really wanna know, they're on her LJ.
So I dropped Josh off with some of the other guys at a Starbucks and high tailed it out to 295 to see Rini. We hung out all night eating cookies, listening to an interesting music mix Mary had given her, and talking about various schtuff. I gave her a massage and we went to bed. When I left her place this morning she was on the phone to Bryan so hopefully all things have gone well with that.
Now I am home and glad to be in one place for the moment because its raining like someone flushed the celestial toilet out there.

Last night I had a dream in which I was walking by a river in some woods. Out of the woods ran a barefoot girl with bright red hair, painted with woad on her face, arms, and chest. She jumped at me and attacked me with a knife. After a long struggle, I knocked the knife out of her hand and threw her to the ground. The two of us then proceeded to have very rough and passionate sex right there in the grass. We were suddenley then married or partners in some way afterward. There was more to it after that, but I forget the rest. It seems rather strange to me now, but it all seemed as natural as can be as I dreampt it and even shortly after I woke up. I wonder just what the hell that one meant.
